Class A CDL
The Class A Commercial Drivers License program is designed to provide each student with a basic knowledge of the requirements for a commercial driver’s license and pursue entry-level employment in the trucking industry as a driver. Elite U’s program is structured to give you sufficient behind-the-wheel driving time for the development of the practical skills necessary to obtain a Class A CDL and begin your trucking career.
As a student of our Class A CDL program, you’ll:
- Learn how to use current short & long-haul trucking equipment
- Develop a working understanding of basic truck driver operations and safety procedures
- Investigate state and federal laws concerning over-the-road hauling
- Discover trip planning strategies to ensure the successful completion of your tour
- Gain the skills you need to take — and pass — your state’s Class A CDL exam
- Learn how to load and unload as well as how to properly secure freight
Our program is absolutely not all classroom time. Depending on the Class A CDL program you choose — our 120 hybrid training program or our 200-hour group training program — up to two-thirds of your time in our CDL license school is committed to hands-on skills training on the road or at our driving range.
